Has anyone tried it in place of an airbrush? I ask because I'm trying to give my Hades breaching drill an industrial look & I have a can of yellow spray paint that is the prefect color.

I have only done it using an airbrush. My guess would be that its physically possible but probably not too practical and here is why. An airbrush gives a very thin layer of paint on top of what was already there. The can is gonna come out guns a blazing to get full coverage. I don't see how you could get it thin enough.

I could however see trying to hybrid the salt/hairspray weathering with a rattle can as you would still be able to scrub the salt away.....
