Greetings All. I have a Manticore that has served me well in the past, but with its points increase and the Deathstrike buffs, I am seriously considering rebuilding it into a Deathstrike missile.
Is this the right decision? Here are the advantages of each in comparison to one another as far as I can tell:

Manticore:
-4 turns of shooting as opposed to 1
-More reliable (No roll to fire)

Deathstrike:
-Cheaper (160 as opposed to 170)
-AP 1 as opposed to 4
-More survivable (Side AV 12 as opposed to 10 and ignores crew stunned/shaken)

What do you guys think?

This would be better in 40k general discussion, this is for posting your army lists. In my opinion, in a small game, the manticore is better, its more versatile, yiu get D3 large blasts each time you fire and it is still strength 10. In a larger game, the apocalypse blast on the deathstrike is really good, but it is just one shot for 160 pts and you're not guaranteed that you will ever get to fire it. With the armour, the low side armour on the manticore can be negated by clever positioning, and both get struck at armour 10 in close combat, so the armour difference is inconsquential in my opinion.

Manticore pretty much wins out.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.
