Chaos Eldar, or Morgaith as they call them selves, are some of the dangerous, deplorable and debauched creatures that still lay claim to mortality. There are few, so very fortunately few, of these monsters that still draw breath, for each of these Chaos Eldar is a being of extreme power. Each is capable of pulling reality down around it, ripping the souls from those close and controlling the rolling energies of the Deep Warp as if they were born to it. Indeed, they were. When Slaanesh came into being, the entire Eldar race that had not fled was wiped out in a heart beat, their minds snuffed out. But their is an after math of consuming that many souls, each burning with the bright light of psykic power their race was famed for, and slowly they began to burn Slannesh from the inside out. In solution, Slaanesh coughed up brightest of these souls as a cat would a hair ball, spitting them back into their own bodies. It is these Eldar that form the Morgaith, for they were truly evil in life, and where remade in the Warp. They became one with She Who Thirsts and where ripped from her teat, changing them irrevocably in mind and aspect. Now, they are terrible things. There minds fully unlocked, for they fear no Daemon now, they form some of the most powerful minions of Slaanesh or they carve out their own realms, it matters not, but a single Morgaith is a threat to everything within it's twisted reach.

Ws 9 Bs 5 S 4 T 3 W 3 I 9 A 3 Ld 10 Sv 5++ 195pts. Available as a HQ choice in CSM, Daemon and Dark Eldar codices.

Type: Infantry (Character)

Special Rules:
Daemon
Battle Focus
Independent Character
Preferred Enemy (Eldar and Dark Eldar)
Echo of a Birth Scream
Psyker Mastery Level 3 (may roll on Div, Bio, Telepathy or the Daemonic Lore of Slaanesh as well as Daemonology)

War Gear:
Twin Blades of the Red Moon: Forged from the mythic Red Moon of Khain that orbitted the Eldar Home Worlds, it was on this moon were Khain fought his titanic battle with Slaanesh. During the battle Khain was sundered and shattard, and it is from these tiny shards of god-hood these blades are made. These Blades are swift and deadly, almost as if the Blood awakens something of it's old power. Two Close Combat Weapons

Str User Ap 6 Rending, Soulblaze, Shard of Godhood (For every Rend inflicted by this Weapon, it's AP is lowered by 1)

Echo of a Birth Scream: The initial birth of Slaanesh was a titanic thing, ripping the galaxy asunder, while the Morgaith survived. The Morgaith are innately psykic beings and such a powerful psy-outburst has never truly left them, and still resonates within their soul. A Chaos Eldar can give voice to this Echo within his mind, psychically impressioning it on close by minds. The effects of which are similar to the Original Eldars, their minds are simply snuffed out if they have not the will to resist.

At the start of the movement phase, if a Warp Charge is expended, then all enemy models within 12'' must pass a Ldship test on 3d6. If passed, nothing happens. If failed then the unit must immediately take 2d6 strength 3 AP 2 hits. Hits must be allocated evenly if possible, with each model taking a hit before another takes a second. This circumvents allocating to the closest model.

What do you think? Tried to make them sufficiently un-Eldary to show how changed they are, but Eldary enough to tell. Did it work?

Why not make them like the Vampire Counts in Fantasy. Have them super decent with heaps of options etc, but have all their units mediocre and somewhat pitiful. If the Eldar Chaossy guy dies then his powers start to fall apart and his summoned minions of whatever start dying away too.

So this guy can be tank, but he is also ridiculously needed for the army to work.

I'm slightly confused as to the objective of the design project here? What are you aiming for?

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

I was originally thinking about just a kind of 'slot in' character that could go into either Dark Eldar or Daemons. I understand that Chaos Eldar are exceptionally rare so having an entire army of them would be a bad fluff decision but having a single Chaos Eldar leading a Slaaneshi force would be fluffy, or maybe leading a bunch of Mind Controlled Eldar. I do like the idea of giving her more options though, tomorrow i will work on a base line character then have the rest of the options added to her. That way i could either build i Psyker Monster, an almost Solitaire like Close Combat character or a mix between them.

I'm confused as to how this would make any sense for the Dark Eldar and as to how this wouldn't just be a Herald for Slaaneshi Daemons?

And a T3 model with only a 5++ will not last long...

Interesting concept though.
