Hi all.

Im looking for some very sci-fi oriented basing kits, like very alien looking plants, etc etc. Does anyone know of a store (ebay or website) that sells such things? I can find lots of ones that sell bits of rock and scenery but not plants

If not, i do have a supply of greenstuff to try and make my own So tutorials welcome to.

Nothing ready to go for sci-fi plants that I can think of - at least not sold as sci-fi plants.

I tend to raid craft stores though - as most basing kits are not a very good value for what you get in them.

For alien plants - check out the beading isle. There are a lot of oddly shaped beads which can be used by themselves or strung together on a bit of brass to make interesting alien plants. Combine those with a little bit of GS to smooth out irregularities and you should be set.

The difficult part in answering your question though lies in...well, not knowing what you are actually looking for. If you are interested in something more like an Avatar inspired ecology - the options are quite different than if you are looking for something else.

Yeah problem is im not 100% sure what im after myself, ive done the bases in a purple base colour and drybrused with red purple and a very light dry brushing of pink. Im using the nurgles rot as a kind of water. I keep going through google images for sci-fi scenes to check out the plantlife, but was hoping someone might know of a good store that caters for that sort of thing haha

Given the colors you are using, you might check out some of Pegasus Hobby's cacti. They are green plastic, but if you painted them a different color, they would have a very alien look (and they wouldn't look out of place since the ground is also a weird color).
