So I noticed that Dark Heresy revised is coming out soon, but also noticed it's using a revised version of the percentile system that the 40k RPGs were using before. I had heard that FFG was experimenting with making the 40k RPGs to use something like the Star Wars/WHFRP games, but did that idea get killed due to fan response?

I liked my experience with the original FFG 40k rules before when I ran Deathwatch, but also saw the rules quickly spiral into madness and generally poor quality. I was actually looking forward to the switch to the EotE style rules, so them keeping the old stuff saddens me. Realistically though, it's hard to convince people to abandon all the stat blocks of the many books previously just to go to a new system.

Dark Heresy 2.0 has always been a percentile system.

Then was it Black Crusade or Deathwatch what was going to see those updates?

Not that I've ever seen.
