So what do you guys think about a stealth based DotA Clone?
-Most characters die from two hits, including Lane Creeps
-Players battle in the jungle for resources to sabotage the enemy or bolster their own forces.
-Most player skills are a trap, alarm, or similar.
-Capture the flag based, so instead of just avoiding things to push towers, you actually have to sneak in the base and steal the flag.
-Aesthetics are either Zombie Apocalypse (Players steal food/supplies from each other) or Psych Ward (Players steal food/medicine from each other), with lane creeps being Zombies/Nurses.
So do you guys think this would be too small of a niche, or something I should pursue? It'll carve out it's own spot in the "MOBA" verse, so there's that. And it's not about Money, going to be doing this as a hobby.

Had not.
A bit different than what I'm imagining, but still pretty close. Niche is already filled....

Sounds kinda interesting. The setting would however ruin it for me to the point of not even trying it.

The gameplay sounds interesting enough, though I imagine you will run into pretty major barriers in terms of balance and variety of everything is kinda hidebound to 'ambush and trap' style characters.
That said...the setting sucks. It's such a safe, tame and predictable zombie setting that it quite honestly bores me. I read your description and think "another zombie game".

Also, you may want to give this a watch if you are serious about designing this:
