What do you think the legions opposites are?

Imo-
Alpha-raven guard (I think these were 1st? I know little other than there combat tactics)
Blood angels-world eaters
Dark angels-word bearers
Ultramarine-black legion (Luna wolves)
Iron hands-death guard (one augments with machine, the other um... Flesh?)
And as always. Imperial fists-iron warriors.

Space Wolves-Thousand Sons (The one despises sorcery, the other loves it)
Raven Guard-White Scars (The one fights with careful strikes, the other charges in headfirst.)
Iron Hands-Death Guard (The one seeks to purge the biological, the other to become master over it.)
Ultramarines-Alpha Legion (The one is dogmatic and honour-bound, the other is adaptable and deceitful)
Imperial Fists-Blood Angels (The one is a stoic defender, the other a reckless attacker)

One are opposites.

One where you list the legion vs chaos legions they most resemble ( such as a mirror that would relfeft your image back, but with nothing but corruption)

Space wolves - thousand sons
Iron hands - emperors children
Ultramarine's - word bearers
Dark angels - the fallen

Can't think of any others other than the emperor and horus

Legions that are alike

Death guard and space wolves
Raven guard and white scars
Imperial fists and iron warriors
I could see ultramarines and emperors children in their need to be noble and perfect in their own regard
That's all I can think of as the others seem to have pretty different ways of war and character

I take it by opposites you mean their counterparts on the other side of the battle, but if you mean opposites in combat tactics I'll change.

Raven Guard-Night Lords
Imperial fists-Iron Warriors
Space Wolves-Thousand Sons
Iron Hands-Death Guard
Blood Angels-World eaters
Ultramarines- Not sure, Word Bearers or Alpha legion could both fill this role, maybe even Sons of Horus due to competing sizes
Dark Angels-Dark Angels
White Scars-Emperors Children(?)
Salamanders- Don't know, maybe Night Lords again just for all the fun Kurze and Vulkan had together.
