Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

The Midwest

Hello all.

House Griffith here, and if you can't tell by my name, I enjoy playing Knights in 40k, and have 3x House Griffith Knights all painted up (I'll post pictures later on). I live in the midwest, am serving active-duty in the military, and in addition to 40k participate in all kinds of other activities non-wargaming related. Wargaming is something that I kind of grew up around, but never had the opportunity or means to participate. Now that I can, I enjoy it immensely and have a sizeable amount of models. I'm toying with the idea of going into commission work, so after I get some pictures up, I can get some feedback or validation that my painting skills are up to standard.

40K:
I've been playing 40k since 2009, so I got into it during 5e, and dove in head first. I have roughly a minimum of 2K-3K of every army out there, although I prefer Imperium-based factions.
I usually play in local tournaments and in FLGS pick-up games, and am trying to figure out if I want to get into going to the big Cons. I'm a type-A personality, so I play very competitively and would probably be considered a WAAC type of player.
As above, I've been having a great time with Knights; I love the fluff, the rules, the kit, and most of all the customization available. I've got 6x Knights total, and have recently been running all-Knight armies with a lot of success. They actually just got even better with the addition of Gerantius and the Adamantine Lance formation.

X-Wing:
Been collecting since it came out, but only recently started actually playing. There's finally enough interest in my area that we can run tourneys.

Warmachine:
I've played a few games but very little local support. Currently have a large amount of PoM, RoS, and Khador.

Thanks for reading, and take care.

Hi,
