This goes to all 4th vets out here!

Some vehicles simply weren't part of 4th and were released after the glory days. Now, what would you do if wanting to field those in 4th?

There are the Vehicle Design Rules in Chapter Approved (2004), but when following those rules, the points cost quickly add up and you're looking at ~360 points, not including additional bonusses like Assault Vehicle, Machine Spirit etc. And 300+ points is...well, not looking to be that viable for the Storm Raven (Fast Skimmer).

Does anyone here have any ideas for an appropriate points cost or ideas on how to get a fair price?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't Fast Skimmers crazy good in 4th edition? So maybe the points value is closer to fair than what you think?

Yep, Fast Skimmers were a good pick. The points cost still seems to be rather high; with all extras, it would certainly be at ~400 points and that's just insane, given that e.g. a Monolith clocks in at 235

I think he means the points costs as written in the regular Marines book, not the VDR. Mind that the VDR lets you put a Hammerhead Railgun on a Piranha for under a hundred points.
