Hi there guys thought I would finally post an introduction  , been lurking round here for a little while and just finally signed up  haven't touched this stuff in a long time and just got back into it after stumbiling across this site first started collecting back when I was in school and now just starting to get back into it I don't really play the game as I don't really know anyone else in my local area that plays it so for now im just content on collecting models and painting and trying to improve myself, its a bit hard coz I work a week on, week off roster and feels like everytime I start to get good I come back from work and paint like crap again lol well anyway I enjoy the how too's on this site and love the show off section too like what you guys do and how well you guys paint some awesome stuff out there and great inspiration well thanks for reading guys and keep up all the good work you guys do heres a photo of the current work in progress stuff and old stuff I did

Hey! Welcome to Dakka Dakka officially! Nice work on the models!
I have been into the hobby for years, but there was a time not too long ago that I didn't have my stuff due to a very ugly situation, I finally got back into the hobby and I found myself intimidated by my own models that I needed to build and paint. I finally just jumped back into it, and after a bit I realized I hadn't really lost it. Not that I'm any good at painting...just saying my painting skills hadn't really been lost over time.
you say you work a week on, is that away from home? If so then have you thought about taking a few models, and just enough paint to get by?

Hey Kelly thanks for the welcome yeah that's away from home unfortunately I thought about it but by the time I get back into the camp its been a 15 hour day almost lol and the lack of concentration by then is pretty bad lol hey MSRC27 thanks for the welcome mate im up on the central Queensland coast

Your work isnt bad at all, looks pretty good.
Practice, practice, practice! =D
And keep a painting journal. List the fig with all the paints you use for which sections. I find that helps me. =D
