I have some quick questions I need to ask.

1. I know the the Word Bearers worship the Chaos gods equally, but do they actually acknowledge each individual god? For instance, would they ever shout "blood for the blood god", paint the symbol of a specific god on their armour or enact a ritual that pleases just one of the gods?

2. Can the Chaos gods actually take a form in the same way daemons can? For instance, during a particularly bloody battle on a daemon world, could Khorne literally walk onto the battlefield and start taking skulls with his own hands?

3. I don't know much about Grey Knights, but wouldn't they be better at fighting Chaos if they were all pariahs instead of psykers?

1. Yes, since the four are often in conceptual opposition, the only way to remain Undivided is to venerate each in turn.

2. Sort of. The Chaos Gods manifest as warp storms rather than monsters though.

3. Yes. Yes, they would. But don't tell them that.

Not really. Blanks are great at fighting daemons, but you really need a psyker to close the warp rift where those daemons came from.

The only instance I can think of of a chaos god itself manifesting is Slaanesh, and that required an absolutely perfect host that was gifted to Fulgrim by Abaddon in order to get his assistance for the 13th Black Crusade.

1. Actually the fluff blurb for the Word Bearers in the latest codex seems to have retconned their background. Now each Word Bearer is dedicated to/marked by one of the Chaos gods. So while the Legion as a whole may not follow a single god, each individual legionary follows only 1 of the 4.

which is dumb and should probably be ignored.

The latest codex is really trying to shoehorn all of Chaos into one mold.

back in the day, not they would never paint the symbol of any specific god on their armor or shout "blood for the blood god". They use to acknowledge each individual god but only worship them as a pantheon. They believed that worshiping any one would be tantamount to enslaving themselves.
