Hello, everyone...

Firstly, a little about me...

I started wargaming in 1986 with Warhammer Fantasy Battle but didn't really take to it, preferring RPG games D&D, AD&D, Car Wars, Judge Dredd, Paranoia and Traveller. Still, I gave it a shot and borrowing my friends armies I tried High Elves, Dark Elves and Humans... but eventually decided it wasn't for me when in one battle my Dwarf units were wiped out to a man by Skeletons.
That was it for me- I went back to Role Play.
One year later, Games Workshop released Warhammer 40,000 and the look of the Space Marines grabbed me and I revisited wargaming... now, fast-forward 28 years and I have I very large Imperial Space Marine force and I'm most proud of the fact that the army is made up of all the original lead miniatures and the RTB-1s from the mid 1980s... with very few duplicates! I mostly build/ convert and paint now... but I'm always looking for the next big project!

I've visited the site for years- even getting ideas from some things I've seen on here but mostly marvelling at other people's creativity. with the build I'm currently working on, I decided it was high time I joined! I'm looking forward to meeting/ talking with all of you.
