The lore surrounding the stormcannons mounted on the Hunters is pretty vague. I'm under the impression they're some form of energy weapon, potentially a las weapon, but apart from it being called Icarus there is no mention of exactly what this thing shoots.

Anyone have any more insight or details as to what type of weapon this actually is and what it fires?

Based on the profile (game) and their description as a ballistic weapon its reasonable to assume they are some sort of Autocannon.
