Everyone hates him, EVERYONE. Lorgar, Kharn, Horus, and Abbadon probably knows about how Erebus is planning on overthrowing him. What did he do after the heresy that had Lorgar allow him to rejoin the Legion?

Erebus is the head of the Word Bearer's sorcerers. They are one of the few Legions that didn't fracture following the Heresy. I doubt there was much that Lorgar could do to sway the more fanatical members of the Legion.

Some people say that he's a bad guy..
They may be right, they may be right.
But it's not as if he don't try..
He just feth's up, try as he might
But he can change, he can change!
He can learn to keep his promises, he swears it!
He'll open up his heart and he will share it..
Any minute now he will be born again!
Yes he can change, he can change!
He know he's been a dirty little bastard
He like to kill! He like to maim! Yes, he's insane!
But it's okay, 'COS HE CAN CHANGE!!
It's not his fault that he's so evil..
It's society, society.
You see his Priamrch was sometimes abusive..
And it made, a prick of he.
But he can change, he can change!
He can learn to keep his promises he knows it,
He'll open up my heart and he will show it,
Any minute now he will be born again.
Lorgar: "But what if he doesn't change,
What if he remains a zealot little butthole?"
Hey Lorgar! Don't be such a twit
St. Celestine won't have gak on him!
just watch, just watch,
here he go he's changing!

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

What's Lorgar's knowledge/relation/feelings/opinion to/on Erebus these days in the Horus Heresy series, anyways? I haven't been keeping up to date on that.

Because Lorgar basically went into isolation following the destruction of Colchis. In the older Word Bearers series, it is said that he is locked in a Basilica where he doesn't want to be disturbed. Given his portrayal in the HH novels, I would assume that he is wracked with guilt at failing to "save" humanity. In his absence, the Word Bearers are ruled by a council of Dark Apostles (similar to how the Imperium stayed together sans the Emperor).
Erebus and Kor Phaeron both hold a considerable amount of influence on these councils. Remember that most Apostles were trained and corrupted by these two, so it makes sense that they would hold sway over the others.
Although from the outside the Word Bearers have remained whole as a legion, on the inside they are divided by internal power struggles between the First Apostle and The Black Cardinal, as well as other Apostles vying to improve their standing in the Legion. This is probably one of the reasons that despite their size and 'unity' the WB lack the focus of the Black Legion.
As for during the HH, I believe Lorgar has already come to realise that of his three chosen advisors, only Argel Tal really shares Lorgar's vision for humanity, while Erebus and Kor Phaeron are playing their own games.

After reading Betrayer, how he laughed when he caved in Guillimans face, and said "you whole legion should thank me, blood for the blood god" as Angron cannibalized his librarians, I don't picture him getting emo and feeling sorry like other primarchs (Curze, Corax, Dorn, Pertaturo)
