Hello everyone, I’m Al (Alexander).
I’ve been in 40k millennia for about 8 months. My first acquaintance with this universe was in 2005 though, when I played Dawn of War. Back then I admired Orks they looked really crazy cool with their fighting machines and constructions made from scrap.
At the beginning of this year I remembered this cool game and even read the background behind it. It’s happened that I came across a local tabletop games forum. I’d never played any war-games until then and didn’t know if I’d like it or not. I only knew that if I would I will certainly choose Orks as my army. Just at that time the guys from the forum started a training campaign for beginners. Moreover, I stumbled upon an ad of selling Orks’ part of Assault on Black Reach and bought them. So I was ready for my first battle! It was a training one with just 150 pts of Troops. And again I was very proud of Orks! When I placed 20 Boyz with a Nob my opponents started saying in terror why there were so many Orks.
And now series of events have brought me here with my small tribe of Orks which is around 2600 points value now.
My tribe combines several clans such as Goffs, Death Skulls and some Speed Freaks. The ruling clan is Goffs as I prefer infantry. There are so many of them and the largest Orks are always from Goffs so others have no chance. However, Death Skulls cunning Big Meks feel very comfortable here. Actually they govern all aspects of the tribe life and their fellas Lootas make their smooth deals. Warlord is ok with this until they produce war gears and provide a lot of DAKKA. After all only war is fun; everything else isn’t worth his attention.
I’m going to think of proper names for my Ork Warlord and his Warbosses, Big Meks and some Nobs. For my Warlord I’m going to use a model of Ghazghkull Thraka but he will have other name (I think there are already too much Ghazghkulls nowadays). My main Big Mek I am going to convert from a very cool model of Orc & Snotling (from Games Day 2007). Until now I’ve only assembled miniatures and modeled a bit so soon I will start painting.
I look forward to gather a really big WHAAAGH!
Good games to you all!

Got a 500 point, half painted Black Templars Army(inspired by the novel
Armageddon) leading up to the entire Armageddon Crusade!(hopefully)
I have Also had interest in making my own soacemarine chapter(that way i get more
Freedom) from the gene seed of Rogal Dorn and so I will probably be posting

Thank you very much for your warm welcome!
Yeah, Armageddon looks like real fun for an Orks player. I haven’t read any books yet so I think it’s good to start reading about it.
