Hi all, I'm new to 40k and just needed some advice on authenticity when it comes to decals.

So I have just bought my first unit of space marines and have pretty much finished painting up all 10 of my Tactical Squad and am about ready to apply some decals.

I decided to go with crimson fists because I love the colour scheme and after a bit of research liked their back story too.

So on the left shoulder I was going to put the crimson fist decal, the one of the fist with the circle around it. But my main question is if there are any other decals I can use on the other shoulder or knees to add a little extra to my models but still remain authentic to my chosen chapter.

I don't want to get laughed out of my local games workshop for putting ultramarine decals onto a crimson fist.

Hope this makes sense to you all and appreciate your advice. And hope that one day I can pass on your advice to future players?!

Hey! Welcome to Dakka Dakka!

Crimson Fists were my first Space Marine unit. I like the story behind them.

Here is a decent link for you.

That's great, thanks. Spotted a red arrow on one of the pictures in that link so I might go with that!!

That would be a Tactical Squad emblem.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Normally on one shoulder (left) go the chapter markings, on the right go the squad designations ( tac, assault, etc)
