Only thing I'm not sure of is the whip, an at initiative Ap2 armour and str 6 weapon, that combines with the claws for plus one attack and is master crafted. It's alot there

I got it from this Raven Guard saying:
From the darkness we strike, fast and lethal, and by the time our foes can react...
darkness there, and nothing more
It seems to be describing a hit and run attack, so that's why I used it.

the tyrant's whip is a little much ... honestly on it I would drop the ap2, master crafted, armourbane and the lighting claws - give it rending instead .... just with it being +2 str claws with rending at int 5 is balanced anything else is going to be a little over the top.
I would change See, but Remain Unseen to give +1 str on hammer of wrath attacks ... infiltrating an few hit & run jump pack assault troop squads is near broken, +1 str is more similar to white scars and a bit more balanced.
Really would have been nice if they would have made the ravenguard chapter tactics / playstyle more resemble the fluff

I know. I really wanted to give him lightning claws that are some great relics of the chapter, I really did. The only problem is that Shrike has the master crafted lightning claws. I'll try to think up a cool sounding name and backstory for the claws. Maybe master crafted claws with rending. I think I see now how broken the infiltrate rule is. If you want to differentiate the character from Shrike, and like the whip, how about just giving it an at-initiative AP3 with shred, with a minus one to the opponent's initiative? So you'll be going first or at the same time with almost everything in the game.

I'd change the whip to:
Str+1 AP3, swift strike, rending, specialist weapon
Still keeps the ability to rend armour. Higher strength than sword, plus one initiative on charge
|
