Because of the Reputable Traders List, nobody wants to trade with a new user who isn't on the list.
Because nobody wants to trade, new users cannot get on the list.
Any advice to get people to want to trade with me?

You have exactly one thread on the swap shop that has been active for just shy of 7 hours, and one other post, the outcome of which is not clear to anyone else but since it is nearly a month old suggests that you had no issues.
I'm struggling to see what the problem is here.
My advice? Give it more than 7 hours.

Yeah dude. A little patience and persistence is required on your part.
How do you think anyone gets on the Reputable Traders List? Everyone had 0 trades at some point.
