Game format:
Dawn of War deployment
Crusade
GK + DE went first orginally, I seized the initiative.

My Warlord Trait- Reroll Reserves, +1 to Seize

Psychic Powers-
Warlord Flyrant:
WB, Psychic Scream
Flyrant 2:
•Catalyst, Onslaught
Zoanthrope:
WB, Paroxysm

Turn 1
[img=http://s28.postimg.org/qt6eeo25l/image.jpg]" border="0" />

I moved my Flyrants up, and kept my gunline portion back. My Exocrine shot at the Paladins and wounded 1.
One of the Flyrants moved over the DE venom, and killed it.
The other Flyrant shot at the 10-man GK squad, and killed 2 Exocrine was out of range of everything.

The DE warriors fired at the Hormagaunts, killing about 7. Most of the GKs fired at the non-horned Flyrant, taking off a wound and forcing me to take a Grounding check, which I passed. The Paladins moved up and shot at the Dakkafex, doing no wounds.

Turn 2

The megablob of Termagants arrived from Outflank, and all of Reserves came in. The Rippers DSed onto each objective, and the Mawloc placed it's TFTD marker on top of the PaladinStar. Sadly, I scattered 11 inches off the board and rolled a 1 on the Mishap table. No Maeloc for me!
My horned Flyrant swooped up and killed 4 Purifiers. The other Flyrant killed 3 more Strike Squad GKs. The Exocrine took some wounds off the PaladinStar. The Dakkafex fired at the Paladins, and was defeated by my opponent rolling(5)... his(3).... saves(6)... like(4)... this(3)...
The Hormagaunts charged the DE warriors, and killed all of them.

The Dreadknight DSed right next to my Exocrine's support group and shot that Exocrine down to 2 wounds. Oh no!
The Haemonculus and her Grotesques deep striked, and promtly liquified my Hormagaunts, who were in blob formation on an objective. The Bloodbride blob arrived, as well.

Turn 3
My non-Warlord Flyrant with 2 wounds left killed 2 Strike Squad GKs, leaving the MegaBlob to finish them off, and the Warlord killed the last Purifier. My all my no-Synapse stuff passed their tests! Hooray for LD5! The Exocrine shot at the Dreadknight, bringing it down to 2 wounds.

The PaladinStar moved towards my Rippers, and killed 1 base with their Storm Bolters. The Librarian tried to Vortex of Doom them, but failed the test and was Dragged Into The Warp, but survived. He then tried to cast Hammerhand, periled, was Dragged Into The Warp AGAIN, and survived AGAIN. The Succubus with the Bloodbrides manned the Quad Gun, and killed the non-Warlord Flyrant! The Dreadknight charged and killed the Exocrine. The GK player facepalmed after realizing you can't charge after firing a Psycannon. The Haemonculus seperated from her Grotesques and sat on the middle objective.

Turn 4
My remaining Flyrant wasted it's shooting on the PaladinStar (Stupid one-by-one 2+s!). The Dakkafex also wasted it's shooting on the (seemingly invincible) PaladinStar. The MegaBlob and rippers passed their Instinctive Behavior tests (Best gribblies ever!) In addition, the MegaBlob killed 2 Bloodbrides!

The Carnifex charged the Dreadknight. Guess what happened. Guess.

The Paladins fired at the Carnifex, ignoring the Rippers. JUST AS PLANNED! The Grotesques charged the Zoanthrope, and caused one wound. I've never thought of Zoanthropes as tanky before, but this thing was pretty tough.

Turn 5
The game ended.

Game Results-
Hive Fleet Medusa- Linebreaker, First Blood (Venom), 2 Objectives (4 Victory Points)
GKs and DE- Linebreaker, 2 Objectives (3 Victory Points)

This was a fun game. I have never fought new DE before, and it was more difficult than I thought. Grotesques hit hard and tank lots of stuff, and Haemonculi can output a lot of shenanigans.

I apologize for using an unpainted model. I had just bought my Exocrine that day, and was unable to get to my paint stash to paint it up (Translation- I'm out of Seraphim Sepia! Send help!)
My GK opponent... Not so much.
Can't wait to see all those DE painted though. My DE opponent said they're going to be purple, which is my favorite color, incidentally.

Both of my opponents had great sportsmanship, and also had fun in the game.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

Sadly, this list may be no more soon. He says playing against 2 Flyrants isn't fun for him. To reply, I pointed at his PaladinStar and told him to QQ more, but that may not last.
And all the QQ from the game store saying that I'm using a WAAC tourny list in a casual game...

I think you know the deal with this guy (if it's the same Tau player) he's now starting to lose. It's not playing against two Flyrants, it's losing that isn't fun for him. (GK is also an good matchup for Nids, especially if you roll Psychic Scream)
Keep the two Flyrants in the army, give him tips on how to beat them if he's still struggling.

Congratz on the win though And yes, Rippers are awesome I find

BONUS! GW Toxicrine Challenge!
After playing my game against my GK opponent, I took the GW store manager's challenge, and decided to use the MegaBlob as my anti-Toxicrine unit. I figured that 15 Devourers and 15 Fleshborers would be nice to kill it with.

Turn 1
I went first, and moved the Termagants up to 12 inches away from the Toxicrine. Sadly, only 13 Devourers were in range. They let loose in an cloud of dakka, taking 3 wounds off of it.

The Toxicrine unleashed it's Choking Cloud attack, killing 6 Termagants.

It attempted to charge, but after my storm of Overwatch (which did nothing!) it rolled short.

Turn 2
I moved within 9" and unleashed another storm of dakka. The Toxicrine was mowed down. Victory for Termagants!

For those who are interested, here are the results of the store's Toxicrine Challenge (copypasted from my GW store's Facebook)

Results of our Toxicrene Challenge:

We had many, MANY, different units attempt to take on the Toxicrene (lovingly referred to hear as "Toxi"). Here are some of the highlights:

- 30 Gretchin (wb Runtherders): Toxi missed with his shooting, resulting in loosing 3 wounds to Grot Blastas in the next turn! The Gretchin chose to not charge, hoping to take it down in a hail of Overwatch, but Toxi, hit dead-on with his next shot, taking out half the Gretchin, then, in the end, gobbled them all up.
- 30 Termagaunts (15 w/Devourers, 15 w/ Fleshborers): They shot Toxi to pieces.
- Dreadknight (w/ Heavy Psycannon and Daemon Hammer): After some bad dice rolls for the Dreadknight, and amazing cover saves on Toxi, the Dreadknight went down on the first turn of the fight from an Instant Death attack by Toxi.
- Illic Nightspear: Illic had an amazing shooting phase, rolling a 6 to wound - and caused Instant Death as he shot Toxi right through the eye (since Toxi failed his cover save).
- Lelith Hesperax: Although she didn't kill Toxi, she went toe-to-toe with the beast for 7 turns before finally being taken down!
- Flash Gitz: While they were able to knock down some wounds during shooting. They stuck around for 5 rounds of fighting as Toxi slowly whittled them down - gotta love all those boss poles!
- Death Wing Knights: Smite Attack. Toxi didn't stand a chance...
- Fire warriors (w/ Fireblade): It was close! Toxi got shot up first, then shot back, - taking out a couple pesky blue aliens - but failed his charge. Between their normal fire and Overwatch, it was more than Toxi could take, and he went down in a hail of pulse fire!

Yes, he is the same Tau player, and I have many more times I need to utterly crush him to get revenge for all the WAACery he's pulled.

I couldnt really tell from your pictures, but in your Batrep you shot the Flyrant and Carn into the Paladinstar. Personally I would avoid that if there are any other viable targets around. As you saw, it can be very minimal return.

If there was nothign else to shoot, but all means, kill the Star.

Yah, nothing else in range.
Fething PALADINSTAR. I'm allying in a Wraithknight next game. My opponent will play Unbound and with allies, so so will I! Haha. ;D
