Hey Dakka, I've been searching endlessly for a decent 28mm sized mark 2 Vulture from mech warrior. Is there any such thing?

Not legally.

There was the Armorcast mk1 in 28mm scale but it never got a Mk2 treatment. (They also did a madcat and Atlas in 28mm).

The inevitable lawsuits that would result aren't worth it.
Battletech is one of those properties with issues.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

28mm sized, or scale? So something the size of a knight/titan, or more of a marine size? If you are looking for 28mm size, then Ral Partha did a line of omnimechs back in the 80’s (early 90s?) You can see my Vulture hiding on the left.

Ugh that's unfortunate. I was looking for something I could use in 40k.

Sounds like an excuse to get into scratch building

It's hard to find Battletech/Mechwarrior designs in a size appropriate to 28mm miniatures. Very few have been made in that scale.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Yeah, there's a nice papercraft mkII vulture that I could try, but I cant find a safe place to download it. I could reinforce it with plasic card. Does anyone have a good link to a download?

It may not be a Vulture, but the Dust Tactics Lothar is close with the side rockets and can be used for 40k.

That is as close as you get. I have the Awesome, and my buddy has a Warhammer IIC. Cool for the price.

There is also the OOP Armorcast Vulture if you can find one

My question is why you would want that over the far superior Mad Dog (vulture)?

No, the Mad Dog is one of the classic clan invasion mechs (Seen on the cover of MW2: Ghost Bears Legacy) and is almost as famous as the Timber Wolf.

The MKII was made just for MW4 and had no basis in lore.

There are plenty of N-scale garage kit companies that do the MkII Vulture, but they're basically 15mm scale, not 28mm.
Actually I have a MkII Vulture in 6mm scale (but not for sale)

Check your link. The powers that be have deemed the Vulture MkII a canon design.
