Hey guys, I'm hoping to get started into infinity soon as my first war game and I'm trying to get a list locked down so I can have a somewhat solid start-up cost figured out. I ran across the wolf models in Ariadna and really fell in love with the wolf models. I have been working on trying to build a viable 150pts list that I can build up on that includes at least 1 wolf miniature if not more but I'm having trouble with it. It seems like the wolves are just a little on the expensive side to drop into the low points list; it feels like I can get 1 or 2 wolves and then I'm stuck trying to find a couple really low cost models to be cheerleaders for my order pool. Where I haven't played yet I am not sure how that could even possibly go well without some crazy luck and face rolling up one side of the table and down the other. Any thoughts and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

When you say wolf models do you mean cameronians, dog soldiers or antipodes?

cameronians at 22 points each are well cheap.
caledonian volunteers with chain rifles are 6 points so great for cheerleading! also recommend taking a volunteer lieutenant keep them hidden then add in whatever you want greys wulvers etc

Sorry for being unclear, I was talking more to the antipodes and dog soldiers models. Building how you are talking makes more sense than trying to play some major cost dog soldier.

How would a list like this work out?

Depends what you will be up against anything with armour won't be too worried by that list. A grey with APHMG is a good option your volunteers would save you 35 points if you changed them all to chain rifle carriers take one out and you get a grey who will be much better at shooting unless you are forming a link team which apparently isnt a great idea starting out.

armor is always worried as armor is just a chance even an armor 6 model taking a str 13 hit still fails a quarter of the time and you get hit alot in the game sometimes.

I think the caledonians will go down in cost a point or two the dog warriors came down 2 pts i believe so there is that.

Finally, i hate to say it....but since the re-did the antipodes and dog warriors the caledonians might be next! Id get dog warriors for now and use them as caledonians if you want (or dog warriors!)

One thing i would caution you on though is if this is your first miniature game then going with a melee heavy army (caledonians) might be tough. Not trying to talk you out of it! some people like tough! just be aware they die ALOT.

Id follow the earlier advice and make sure you have a sniper and a good hmg coving your warband savages.
