I have had eldar since I started back...18 years ago...my word I am old. I loved the idea of the exodites and own a epic army with exodites and I began almost 12 years ago in 2nd edition days converting an exodite force based on Eldar Craftworld Codex which o sold when 4th edition came out...sigh....I did not like what 4th did to eldar and I moved on to tau which i liked alot, anyways I am back with 6th edition!! and am very happy with the new eldar rules.

GENERAL PLAN - Since i thought up this plan 12 years ago alot of good new stuff has come out including new cold ones, better dinosaurs in the lizardan line and AND lots and lots of dragons in the various elf lines as well as the forworld monsters! This is going to help make this far more doable than it was before.

Here is my units I plan to make/have made and WHAT I plan to make them out of.

Farseer on Jetbike - Dude on a cold one obviously!

5x Warlocks on Bikes - Same as farseer!

5x Spirit Seers - Thinking of using some high elf/ wood elf/ dark elf mages and then eldaring them up!!

Avatar - He will be a forgeworld model I own.


ELITE

10x Scorpions with exarch - Have to come up with a good idea for this...they are far down my list right now. Any suggestions?

TROOPS

12x Jetbikers with 4 cannons (can be broken in 2 units of 6 or 4 units of 3) -- These will be based on dark elf cold one knights. They will be properly eldared up and given shuriken catapults/cannons.
5x Wraithguard - in Serpent - The wraithguard will be standard, but the waveserpent will be a stegadon with a cool eldar howdah. There will be 3 "pods" on each side of the stegadon that the wraithguard are folded up inside with the heads sticking out. Will be cool, they are coming soon!
5x Wraithguard - in Serpent

FAST ATTACK

Crimson Hunter - High Elf dragon put on to a flight base with proper eldar armor
6x Shining Spears with Exarch - Cold ones with dragon knights on em!

2x Hornets/Vypers - I plan to use a warpfire dragon (this will also be used as a wraithlord)

Wraithlord - Warpfire dragons with gunners o back!

Wraithknight - This will be a carmine dragon with the "lord" on his back. He will be the center piece and the "leader" which is cool cause with the Iyanden book I can make him the warlord!!!!! NICE!!

Next week we will have more knights and some stegadon waveserpents done!!

Some great ideas. For the scorpions, how about using the stock models then adding Saurus elements to them? Patches of scales, saurus swords, some lizard iconography. Just a thought.

I kind of like that idea, I just want them to be more I guess. I even thought of using the dragon skin cloaks from the dark eldar corsairs, but i just want them to be more unique than dolled up scorpions.

I kind of want most of the exodites to be not in full enviromental armor since they stay on planets moving between world trees to protect the maiden worlds. They hardly ever need rebrathers and never fight off planets.

I have two model updates today

The WIP of the waveserpent stegadon

The pods are mounted and the next item we are working on is theguns on top and how to represent the serpent shield.






Second Update is for the cold one mount for the warlocks.






Any comments or suggestions?

What do you think I shuld use for the base model for warlocks?

Anyone have any cool ideas for models for spiritseers that seem like they can be converted for exodites?
