hey guys I just recently found out about Warhammer from a guy that I work with and started looking into it. I'm thinking about buying the Shield of Baal Deathstorm kit and starting there but wanted some other opinions. From what I have looked up and seen on YouTube I'm going for a Tyranid army, I'm not sure why though. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. I would like to maybe get to a 1000 point army but don't want to go to crazy on the off chance its not for me after all.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Welcome!
-I'm unable to get anyone I work with to game. Get a lot of odd looks, though.

For a starting army, I'd suggest start small and go with models that you really like. Do up a few of them and if it feels like a good fit, start investing as you go. None of the armies are junk and since editions/codexes change from time to time, each army has the possibility to shine!

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the particulate.

I just went against a tyranid army on Friday. I won put lost a few points due to my opponent ripping my wraiths to pieces with a few carnifex models. Try getting them and you should be good.
