Hey all,

I'm thinking of getting the Corregidor starter. They combine well with my space privateers (Qapu Khalqi), since several units are shared between the two sectorials. And they would make for a good demo force. My question to you is what you would do to get a decent 150pt starter force out of the Corregidor starter box? Does it work pretty much as-is? I don't really know much about Nomads, sadly.

You're almost at 150 right out of the box, actually; I'd suggest swapping one of the Wildcats for an Intruder sniper to plug the lack of long-range fire and get an extra MSV just in case.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

id be more inclined to a wildcat spitfire, and then the rocket launcher, though thats what i did and i think thats what most do :/ so if you want something different go the intruder sniper, with the new edition there are been afew points reduction and you can fit some nasties in there

my current list looks like this

If you're wanting something that you can use for your Qapu-Khalqi as well as a Corregidor force, don't get the Corregidor starter.

Get the standard Nomad starter as it contains Alguaciles and Mobile Brigada.

If you like your models not being laughably undersized versus anything else that will be coming out in the foreseeable future, then get the Nomad starter.

Alguaciles are also supposed to be getting their Special Weapons box this month and those are just retouches of the models in the Nomad starter.

You make some compelling points there, Kan! I already use my Ahl Fassed model as a Mobile Brigada most of the time, but it would be nice to have an actual MB model to use.

Honestly, this right here is what killed my interest in my Corregidor force for the time being:
Spoiler:

On the left is a Wildcat from the Corregidor starter, which was delayed well into their CAD window. Wildcats were put into the Corregidor starter so that the basic Nomad starter and its Alguaciles component would not be affected when they redid it for Icestorm.
On the right is an Alguacile from the Nomad starter.

Wildcats are Medium Infantry with decent armor. Alguaciles are guys in jumpsuits with guns. It's irritated me beyond belief that they could not have bothered to CAD the Corregidor starter, despite the fact that they were starting the 'big switchover' and well-aware of the fact that they were going to move to CAD for future releases.

Sorry for hijacking your thread for a rant, but in my opinion it is something important for people to be aware of.

I tell myself becuse they are Cats, they are all girls, hence why they are smaller but im sure the female nomad starter is grealy bigger in size too

I can tell you with a hundred percent certainty that there is only one female Wildcat in the CJC starter, and she's the same height/bulk as the other two.

that is rather dissapointing the scale is off, and ive just ordered icestorm,
i think i will just not use them in the same force so i dont get ticked off, as OCD as that sounds, but the mobile brigada all the way

asmuch as the scale difference annoys me, i play wildcat links anyways, my new icestorm box is for demo games ( for some reason infinity is slow to take off in my town, its mostly 40k players) i still love my corregidor force
