Hey there! I have just started Warhammer 40k and I was just wondering what you guys thought would be a good chrome base paint. I plan on buying a chrome paint and a black oil based paint to weather the models or maybe a black wash. So, what do you think is a good chrome and black paint to weather the models would a wash be better than oil paints? What do you think? thanks!

P.S. - I plan on thinning an oil paint because I saw a trick where someone brushed on a black oil paint then rubbed off as much as he could and it looked amazing. I want to thin it though because oil paints are pretty thick and im worried about clogging up details.

Regular spray primer from lowes, and badab black or equivalent? the main thing your going to have to remember to make them look good is the eyes and symbols that are usually blue/green
