Hi!

Everyone around my place starts playing Infinity and I'm thinking of buying a single Haqquislam model to paint it and to see if I like the feel of the miniatures. I don't want to buy the whole starter set yet, and I don't know the rules at all. I may buy a starter set later on, though, and I wouldn't like to have two the same models.

Could you tell me if there are any Haqquislam models which aren't in any starters, and which are good enough so that they're unlikely to collect dust staying on a shelf?

Lots of good models in Haqqislam, one of the reasons so many people I know got into the faction, most of them don't even play them much.

Azrail. New large model, heavy armor, dynamic pose. Great to paint.

Dzanbazan Sniper. Cool combat pose, actually aiming and not gyrostabalizing on a rock

Tarik Mansuri. Heavy armor look, aggressive dynamic pose, has a 'Muslim/desert' look.

Any of the KUM bikes, though they look like American biker gangs more than any arab looks.

Ragik's. Airborne infantry can have rifles or machine gun type weapons.

Many others, but those are mostly new and can be picked up individually. There are lots of models that can be picked up currently that have 2 models in a blister, so that's up to you.

Lasiq, Barid and Asawira (stupidly good profile). Tarik would be interesting, if you like big and bulky models.

Haqqislam are my first and probably favourite faction.

As the other guys have said above, you don't really have to worry too much about accidentally buying a dust-gatherer; all of the miniatures in a force have some role that they can perform adequately if given the opportunity.

My choice of favourite single minis

The Husam spec ops

Lasiq sniper (she is actually amazing in the game as well)

Sekban with rocket launcher

Save the best to last, this guy is BIG

Also consider the Al Hawwa hacker or Al Hawwa sniper. The Lasiq sniper is a great mini, and very useful.
