All vehicle-mounted template weapons without the Torrent rule gain Torrent (6").

Pros
1. Gets rid of the potential issue with turret-mounted templates partially covering the parent vehicle
2. Gives vehicles a slight advantage over man-portable weapons of the same type
3. Banewolves are no longer awful
4. Flamestorm cannons on Land Raiders get a big boost

Cons
1. Vehicles are already faster than infantry so it's somewhat of a double bonus
2. Chimeras with hull and turret HF might be a little overpowered
3. Effectively weakens Torrent (12") weapons by comparison

Thoughts? (I've been gone for a bit so if this is old news, my apologies!)

I don't think vehicles need this, Flamers are a nice upgrade to light vehicles considering overwatch and how they fair in the Assault.

Their are certain cases where this should be applied like the Bane Wolf, but not as a blanket rule. The new Kastellan Cognis Incinerator should also be downgraded to 6" as right now it's almost as good as an Inferno Cannon.

Lastly, I've used Torrrent (6") before in my Homebrews. Namely on the Aquila Dropship in my Codex Sisters of Battle: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/609583.page#7102148. Any Flyer really needs torrent for template weapons to be effective.

I was fairly certain vehicles could not fire overwatch (including templates) and that only passengers could fire overwatch out of a transport's fire points. Unless I'm misreading what you're trying to say?

I think the Bane Wolf would especially benefit, but my main issue is that it seems odd for a heavy flamer mounted on a Chimera to have the exact same profile as a heavy flamer on a Guardsman.

I agree with the issue for flyers. I would propose that, at the very least, the Torrent(6") rule should be a blanket rule for SoB vehicles (since burnination is really their 'thing').
