SC upholds Oklahoma's Lethal Injection method.

Crud... I was kinda hoping they make Death Penalty itself unconstitutional.

These '15 rulings should be the year of whiplashs....

Looks like the majority took the plantiff's argument that the costs vastly outweighed any potential benefits from those EPA rules.

Came down to 5-4 spit.

The EPA one is an interesting decision, IMO. I would have just thought that bad rules were simply that, bad rules, instead of actually being illegal/unconstitutional. I mean, the government makes bad laws/rules all the time, are they also illegal? And who decides the benefits, when it isn't just money?

Man, Scalia went nuts on the other justices in his opinion on the death penalty ruling. It was one thing to hear that vitriol when he gave it in his minority opinions on gay marriage and ACA, but to hear it as part of a majority ruling... the term sore winner comes to mind.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.
