Just kit out a lord on a dragon or something, as kitted out as you can make him. 1 model, then go for sudden death objective? What is there to stop this?

Apparently the power level difference between super power and ordinary is a lot less than in WHFB. So Emporer Sigmar might have a hard time against a couple of platoons of goblins.
I have not yet read the scrolls, so I don't know how true this actually is.
The other thing is the Sudden Death rules are not that good anyway.

Because even with a super powerful model, to hit and to wound rolls are static. You would easily be brought down against someone who is using more models
So glade guard all hit on 3+ and wound on 4+ if there are 20 in a unit and no enemy is within 3" . and once per game they can all give you a -3 to your armor save.
So if I just took 3 units of 20 glade guard, that's 60 shots, avging 20 wounds where you get a -3 to your save. So youd probably br brought down to you ward save if you were beefed up, which is max going to be a 4+ I think. but probably a 5+. You'd be near dead almost instantly if not killed in the first turn. And those from 3 basic squads of basic infantry.

Why not just bring a single carrion, they start "in the air" and cannot be targetted by anything opponent has. So do endure and just stay flying, you always win if sudden death.

Rules for wounding and hitting have changed by a lot. Despite being super powerful, a big unit could finish you off.

then why stop at one lord on a Dragon, at least field 3 . its not like there are any rules saying you can't field a huge dragon for each colour of the rainbow... Thinking about it I would so play against a army of Rainbow Dragons, for lolz. just like playing AoS in general.

Well, that's the game's fundamental problem, or rather one of them.

Well, if you MUST WIN with plastic toy soldiers, go ahead and do it.

What stops this is you could instead take more than one model and still get sudden death objectives, unless your opponent is also trying the same tactic. Why settle for one lord on a dragon when you could have 5 lords on dragons and a phoenix and still get sudden death against your opponents unit of 10 guys with pointy sticks?

this question answers all the idiotic "what about my 5 skinks vs Azhag for Sudden Death?" or "this game is dumb, I can field 20 Archaons lol"
Can we stop w/ this already? Ironically, adult gamers are acting like the children that AoS is aimed at.
