The Orc Greenskinz Big Mob includes a "1 Orc Warboss" slot. Must you use the unit entitled "Orc Warboss" or can you use any unit with "Orc Warboss" in their keywords? Like the named characters.

There are no rules describing these 'formations'. I would play it that the key words are ok to use. That seems to make the most sense.

Probably something you want to figure out with your opponent. Some named heroes are stronger than the generic ones - so you might want to give something in return.

Again, another complete grey area thanks to these lackluster rules.
Personally, I would say that you'd be fine using anything with the "Orc Warboss" key words. The formation states you need "1 Orc Warboss" and any model that has the Orc Warboss key word IS an "Orc Warboss" in the same way that it IS a hero or it IS an orc.

Yes, I'd go with anything with the keyword is fine.
They keep stressing that it's all about the keywords.

No, it doesn't. It says: "1 Orc Warboss or Orc Warboss on Wyvern"
ORC WARBOSS exists as a Keyword, but ORC WARBOSS ON WYVERN doesn't. The unit 'Orc Warboss on Wyvern' has the seperate Keywords ORC WARBOSS and WYVERN. Since the Battalion's requirements is definitely calling out to a unit name, not a keyword, in that case, I'd suggest it's mandating the specific units named.
Otherwise it seems pointless, because any Orc Warboss on a Wyvern must have the ORC WARBOSS keyword, so mentioning the Wyvern is unnecessary.
I would say it needs to be the specific unit, just to be awkward.
Whilst it is all about the keywords, they make a point of highlighting bold where they've called out a keyword.
At the same, time, I'd be happy to play a force with one in if that's all you've got.

Actually Locarno is right - it's not keywords, it's warscroll names. So it's Orc Warboss warscroll unit or Orc Warboss on Wyvern warscroll unit.
It's same with Empire's general or general on griffon. :-)

I think locarno24 is correct as well.
On all the formations I've seen, the list of allowed units appear to be full warscroll names, not merely listings of keywords.

The Black Orc Formation doesn't have the same awkward wyvern scenario but begs the same original question.
I'm leaning towards the formation referencing the unit title rather than the keywords because the keywords always seem to be in that weird font. However, I'm keen to see if there is a general consensus incase if I have to argue the point.

Yep, if it's specifically stating those two models, then that's it.
