Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

I am looking to add a special character to my O:I Pan O set, Joan of Arc looks awesome (I bought the paint book model). People seem to agree she is awesome but expensive, if I add her would I be severely crippling myself or could she be fun and semi competitive. I am not a min/max type player more fluff and fun.

If you have a plan for her, then yes. If you don't, then no. It's not a list building game.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums. |

She makes co-ordinated orders more efficient (you'll need the actual rulebook, not just icestorm to understand that bit).
She gives them a bit of punch but isn't immortal or invulnerable (like just about every other model in the game isn't. ).
A great number of things come down to how well (or badly) you use them, though. When you have a hammer, it takes a conscious will to not treat everything like a nail.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Joan of Arc can be fielded along with Operation Icestorm as part of General PanO. She's extremely good in fact. Inexpensive, able to sustain effectively 3 wounds, and a superb leader.

Make sure you have some sort of mid table support for her, although this could be said for any knight.

She is however the most obvious lieutenant in the game when you see her across the table.

Joan was supposedly a living pincushion.
