So I played Durst the first time yesterday at 35 pts and he is going to take some getting use to. I always played some of the more squishy Menoth casters such as pServy and eServy who like to stay out of the fight. But with Durst he seems to me like a caster who wants to be in your face. Brought a double Reckoner list at 35 pts but I might want to stick another Jack into my list. Has anybody played Durst or played against him? What's the best way to run him? Jack heavy seems like what he wants but don't know how many jacks I should cram into a 35 pt list. My FLGS plays 35 pt tournaments and 35 pt pick up games so that's why I'm focusing on 35 pts.

I haven't bought him yet but this is a pretty extensive discussion on him.

It was a pretty good episode, and from what I have heard and can think of, Durst is gonna be a really steady caster. I can see him being a real pain to beat for a while.

It such a different way to play him that's going to take some practice. Going to try and run him in a upcoming 35 pt steam roller this weekend just to get some more practice in with him.

The biggest challenge I have found is figuring out what his safety distance is.
I'm used to our other casters, but now that I have a tank its tough to figure out where his safe distance is. I've lost him to a few assassinations because I've overextended and thought he could tank more than he could.

My first time playing with him I was super aggressive. Moving him up the field close to the two reckoner. Ended up getting him killed turn 5 but not until he destroyed a few things. I think I was to aggressive with him and next game I'm going to try and hold him back just a little more. Need to find that sweet spot to keep him into the fight but also to keep him safe.
