Learning the game...

Several Multi guns can switch between a burst and a anti-materiel mode (e.g., Multi-rifle and Multi-HMG). It just seems like the Burst mode is always a better option. Three shots with AP seems totally better than one shot with two ARM (or three in the case of EXP multi-hmg) rolls (at full armor). Is Anti-Materiel the better option to choose during BS attack ARO's? Am I missing something here?

They are good for ARO because you are B1 anyway (or 2 if linked) so you don't lose anything but gain a better damage output.

Also destruction of terrain/objective items (requires the anti-material' trait).
So you can get the objectives AND prevent your opponent getting it by destroying it afterwards.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
