Hi guys! I've just played my first Infinity games with my friends' models and the game looks great. I'm getting interested in starting an Aleph force, and I've read it's the worst beginner faction, terribly complicated, teaching bad habits etc. If I were to start Aleph anyway, what models are the easiest, with least special rules? For one, I know that Netrods are lovably simple and I want to have them.

Avoid posthumans to start and you should be good. Really their not any more complicated then any other faction. Just focus on learning the basics then the rest will come.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

As long as you can learn the rules, Aleph will play like easy mode due to their versatile specialists, ODD on many units, strong technology, and exceptional stats. Just make sure that you read the equipment and special rules for your models. +1 on staying away from Posthumans though.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

They're surprisingly easy to use. Achille is fantastic, though you'll eventually generate hate - the whole game starts to revolve around Achilles.

Just out of curiosity, what is it about Posthumans that is so troubling for newcomers: I've seen this piece of advice several times.

The rules are quite tricky and badly written, they're getting redone from the ground up in HS N3
