Looks? I'm a huge fan of commander farsight's latest model, the newer callidus assassin, and non-forge world imperial Knights.
Gameplay? Depends on your army. Pretty much every army has "that one" model or formation that has a significant power spike over the rest of their army. Wraithknights, canoptek wraiths, lucky stikk warbosses, thunderwolves, firebase cadre, etc etc etc.

The new Bloodthirster (any variant, although my favorite is the D-thirster). Such a cool model, and very nasty on the TT.

If only he wasnt a noobtrap for a model (I mean, his statline looks amazing, but when Little Johnny goes and buys this big bad monster for his giant axe of murder, he forgets Mr D-Thirster isnt actually I9 he's swinging his Big Ol Bruiser with the speed of a snail at I1)

For me, it's Mandrakes and the 5th edition Archon model.
Though, quite a bit of my stuff is converted, so it gets a bit blurry.

You're not. If you're worried about your opponent using 'fake' rules, you're having fun the wrong way. This hobby isn't about rules. It's about buying Citadel miniatures.

The one thing keeping me from fielding one, honestly.
I really like the current Raptors/Warp Talon models. First model I ever bought was a box of the older metal Raptors, and comparing them is like the statue of David to pile of granite.

Typhus. He originally is what made me want to get into 40k. I don't play CSM at all, but I still have my Typhus I lovingly painted, and I run him as my Herald of Nurgle for my Daemons
