I'm not sure how GW feels about this, particularly when there is an approximate 65% overlap betweeen the new rebalanced codex and the old codex in terms of rules and point costs.
The reason I began the rebalanced codex was to experiment with game balancing, myself. I just don't want to get in legal trouble or get my account banned for posting my work without knowing if it's acceptable.

Thanks for reading, please let me know if it's OK for me to post my rebalanced codex.

TL;DR: Can I post my rebalanced codex if there is a 50-65% overlap with the original GW codex?

It,s what the mods think that counts. Does it have a disclaimer saying, it's fan based, and not a challenge to GW's copyright.???

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

I've personally posted 3 or 4 rebalanced codices here. It's not a big deal. No one here actually thinks that you're attempting to infringe on GW's IP, but a short "Fan-made, GW owns everything forever" disclaimer won't hurt.

Heralds of Ruin Kill Team rules have disclaimers on them, but those rules are so good that its probably more popular and well known than the official Kill Team game anymore. On top of that, they've been around for years now. And yet, GW hasn't lawyered up on them. I simple disclaimer at the top of your rules couldn't hurt, but GW only really gears up when model suppliers start to infringe on their IP because that's all they think they are in the business of.

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.
