Hello, I got back into the hobby in the arse end of 2012, started with Blood Ravens as they remain my favourite Chapter, then added Imperial Guard forces of a homemade Cyrene Regiment with the idea of them being the only human survivors of the events on Cyrene that Captain Gabriel Angelos would not reveak to the Inquisition, however, I didn't quite like the idea of spending lots of money to make a sizeable and effective IG Regiment, so, I sold them on, much to my regret.
I then went on to Chaos, bought into them by starting a Black Legion force, which now is around 2500-3000pts with all units in some state of working progress, I then put them on hold with the rest of my Blood Ravens which also, is a sizeable force of around the same points value.

I then took interest in Tau, around summer 2014, however not purchasing anything Tau related until the Christmas period as I had some time off work, as I wanted to change from my usual tactics of full on assault and hoping to win through sheer might, I thought to switch to Tau, for a more challenging army play style, they can bring some power with them, however, they are a lot squishier than Marines, so for me, it required more thought and effort to use them effectively.
I want to stay away from cheesy Tau playstyles however my love of Riptide models has changed peoples perception of that, and just use Tau as competitive and fair army opposed to my all out assault Space Marines of two different flavours, so, this thread will include phots of my WIP Tau and ideas, bearing in mind I have not worked on them since around Mid-August to Early-September due to work...that will change soon...so, here are some phots of my Tau in their current states...

Hi. Welcome to Dakka. Some lovely looking models you have there.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Hello there! Didn't expect such a quick reply, and thank you, I apologise for there not being better photos and for the models themselves being in higher stage of painting but have had to have them in storage for quite a while now as I'm busy with work.

The pictures are fine, trust me, I've seen much worse pictures. If you intend to keep posting pictures to Dakka you could consider starting a P and M blog for your Tau/other forces.

I'm planning on creating separate threads for my Blood Ravens and Black Legion as soon as I can get home and bring them out of storage, along with actually putting more work into my growing Tau and keeping this thread up to date.

Welcome!

What are your thoughts on all the next Tau suits that have come out?

Finally got back to my Tau the other weekend and managed to build my Supremacy Armour Titan within the weekend, I haven't glued the arms on as I am planning to order magnets so I can buy the Fusion Eradicator arms after Christmas.
I also added a second squad of Stealth suits and a third Piranha, next buy will probably be a Ghostkeel so I can use the cheesy formation for the Stealth Suits and the Ghostlkeel with the "Wall of Mirrors" Special Rule.

Went for an "action pose" as most titans seem to have boring poses.

Seems to be coming along nicely. You can request to have a mod move this over to the P and M blog section if you want. Would probably be a better place for it.

You've somehow managed to give the models dynamic poses that look natural - something many have failed at. For this, I tip my hat to you - welcome to Dakka Dakka

Thousand Sons: 3850pts / Space Marines Deathwatch 5000pts / Dark Eldar Webway Corsairs 2000pts / Scrapheap Challenged Orks 1500pts / Black Death 1500pts

Saga: (Vikings, Normans, Anglo Danes, Irish, Scots, Late Romans, Huns and Anglo Saxons), Lion Rampant, Ronin: (Bushi x2, Sohei), Frostgrave: (Enchanter, Thaumaturge, Illusionist)

Thank you for your compliments mate!
I just got fed up of seeing such awesome models in such boring poses or fake "dynamic" poses that didn't really look natural at all. takes a fair bit of work to achieve, especially with resin models.

Also, on the note of getting this thread moved and noticed more how do I actually go about that as I have no idea on how to actually use this site other than to post a reply haha, took me ages to find out how to start a thread in the first place! haha

When I magnetised this, I put magnets in the arm sockets on both the torso and the arm itself as the handy modern instructions that came with the titan said to, then I also drilled holes in the ball and socket joint on the torso and legs and then finally I drilled holes in the multi-drivers themselves and the rail they sit upon for them to balance nicely...helps that the magnets are strong otherwise it wouldn't be so sturdy haha, was a little worried when I put the multi-drivers on hoping that they wouldn't then knock the titan off balance haha

Good to see a Tau member join the ranks - as War Kitten suggested, you should start a P&M Blog over at that sub-forum. Would attract a good amount of attention and is a great way to stay motivated, and log your progress
