Hey there fellow modellers and gamers. Thought I'd Introduce myself as I've been on here a few weeks. I started in 40k in 1990 purely for the minis,BUT, I've NEVER played a game in my life!!!! Please don't get me wrong,I've nothing against the game,I just preferred the back story, making conversions, and painting. I've loads of Terminators and Marines, quite a few Eldar and some other random bits. My latest acquisitions were some Infinity Ninjas and Oniwaban.
So,now confession time. I joined this forum a couple of weeks ago because I'd just moved house,so dragged all my minis out of storage and thought about selling them, but theres so much sentimental crap attatched to them,I wanted them to go to someone that would appreciate them so I thought I'd offer them on here.... BUT......like I said theres a lot of sentiment attatched to my armies and since scouring through this forum and looking at the Gallery I felt the same way about the creative craft as when I was 12, and I can't wait to start painting again after 15 years off!
So THANK YOU EVERYONE on Dakka Dakka. You've re-kindled my love for it. I look forward to talking to some like minded people on the forum I wish had existed (as well as the internet!) when I started in 40k! Cheers,G.[user]

Hi. Welcome to Dakka

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Nice to meet you War Kitten. One question,is Iybraesil your own craftworld or have I just been away from 40k for too long?

In the new Eldar codex there actually is a Craftworld named Iybraesil. They are noted for having a higher proportion of female warriors (such as Banshees) and for having higher quality soulstones.

Welcome,

I hope you find more than a rekindling while you're on the boards
