HI i have recently got back into 40k, even though I loved modeling I never gave actual war gaming a go but now i wanto change that in the near future. Anyway, Im wanting to start a Nurgle army. Stupid question but Ive been painting some plaguebearer daemons just because i think they look cool but im wanting to know what i can actually have in a nurgle army? Can i have any nurgle themed units such as plague marines and stuff?. I will be buying a codex soon but i really want to spend my money on more models till then. Any help and i would be grateful

(sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum)

Unfortunatly Chaos Deamons and CSM has been seperated in two codexes.

You can still have a Nurgle CSM army has your main army and an allied detachement of Deamons, or the other way around, it all depends on the number of MArines you wanna include.

Or you can play an Unbound list, wich allows you to field anything you like.

Now be aware that non-Deamon units/characters cannot join Deamon character/units, because of the Deamonic Instability rule.

Yeah we are the only faction of the game that cannot join our Battle Brothers units.

plague bearers and plague marines are from two different codices; codex Daemons and codex Chaos Space Marines respectively. If you want to field both together, there are two things you can do: either take a combined arms detachment (2 troops + hq) for each codex ( or a cad and an allied detachment ), or run an unbound list which let's you ignore the FOC and take whatever you like from any codex
