I promised myself that i would'n give in to the call and sweet words of the Chaos Gods...

But i could'n help it...

I finnaly bougth a Dark Eldar Reaver box...,to make myself some new Chaos Bikes!!





At first i planned on just get the blades and front of the reaver bikes,because i thougth that the Marine biker on the jetbike would look silly.

Then while having the bike and the Marine biker in my hands i thougth"..mmh lets try it anyway..."

And the scale wasn't that off,it din't look ridiculous at all!!

I just trimmed a bit the bike on the sides of the saddle so that the biker legs fit rigth in.

I cut of the rear jet motor so that the rear tire would fit,and cut out 40% of the front tire off so that the bike was perfectly horizontal on the base,it give the illusion that the tire sinks a bit in the front of the bike!

I must say that i'm pretty satisfied with the result,it doesn't ask too much work,its pretty cool looking and can be done quickly.

Still need a few details and addition like the sides blades proper tire chassis and of course the twin bolters.

But over all i like having an agresif and cool looking Chaos bike!

First Chaos Reaver bike!!

Ok so i've finished the second Chaos Reaver bike!







And i have redone some minor tweakings to the Champ base.




I though that those bikes as some kinda Jet aeroplane look(well coming from minis who are Jetbikes in the first place...duh!),and thus that it was a bit sad to let them all be on the ground...

It needed a bit more stunt!

So i will begin on the third bike!

I've finnaly overcome my lazyness to beginning to paint my first completed Khornfiler.



Also a few PiP of my Termi lord and his retenue.




And the beginning of a scratchbuild wip...

Ok so while i know i've said i plan on making a Gladiator Cult of Khorne using DE minis and Dex,my friends hinted me that its best that i first finish to paint up whats remain of my WE.

A Wise advice indead...

So its been 2 day that i paint as much as i can,...and boy thats a pain in the ass...,i really hate painting...,my hands arn't made for this,its a torture,but on the other hand i'm not fond on the idea to give my minis to someone else to paint them...,i like to have my stuff at my home...,silly i know...

So its been 2 days that i paint 30 zerkers,i've got 50 more to do, and like 64 Bloodletters,6 Juggers, 4 Bloodthirsters,3 Khornefilers and one Soul grinder,2 rhinos,1 land raider,1 vindi,3 oblits,15 bikes,8 Raptors aaaand my Tower of Skulls and Brass Scorpion...,oh and another 5 termies...

Man...

But you now me...i couldn't ressit to add something to the converting and painting list...



The GI Joe Nightwing jet.

Yup...once again while i was doing my shopping i wandered in the toy department of the shop...,and saw this,its been a while that i saw this model,but i din't really give any thoughs at all...,i din't nknow the length of the thing,or the price of 40$ din't really appeal to me...

But here i see this one and because its the last that they had in the shop it was on a bargain price,...15$!!

So i decided to give it a shot,doscretly opened the box to see the dimensions of the thing,as you can see its n the 40's-50's cm length for 25-30 cm wings wide.

So its a good start.

Now "all" i need to do,is to beff him up a bit on the top of the rear to put the TH canon and center sail,add a bit larger wings,add with plasticard the troops compartiment and of curse the weapons.

But the funnist thing is the Ligth and sound stuffs,you have the screeching sound of a jet flying by,a "missile warning" bip,And my favorite,Missiles and Machine gun firing noises!!

Once this will be done and mounted on a matching flying stand,this will be fun to play the engines noise while moving it around,or the missiles and machine gun noises in the the shooting phase!

Oh and as a bonus...



Yeah my finaly finished painted Kharne...,after beeing in black under coat for 7 years...

Some update.

I used the wings and rotors of my ossprey model,i wasn't going to go anywhere with it anyway.

Also used the big skull of the toy Skeleton Warrios Aircycle as the TH canon turret!

Still a lot of work to do!

It comes nicely together...

Still have to correctly glue the rear part together,and beginning on the transport compartiment.

For those who are familliar with this toy,you then now that the cocpkit opens from the bottom,by pulling a lever on the upper hull of the plane you lower the pilot seat thats on a littel plateform...

After toying a bit with it,i though that it would make a great front rampe thing that will open like the jaws of a monster.

Just like what i did with my Skull Raider i will do the same with this one,i will put teeth on the side on the upper and lower part that will come nicely together and sculpting with gs a skull-like on the upper side of the cockpit.

Ok so...,i again stumbled across something while doing my shopping...

Yeah, that happens very often to me...



So this is a "kitbash" of 3 of the new Lego that are out,the Hero factory line.

So this is the big one Nebula something,with parts coming from 2 smaller ones.

I though that this kit could be the rigth size and shape for a Titan Knight!

So i only needed to find something that would turn him Chaos...

Lets shuffle true my stuff...


Mmh not bad,thats a beginning...


Oh yeah thats definatly better!

And now a good Melee weapon!




Ok that looks like a winner to me!

Now just need a base,some chaosy bits,plasicard and of course a proper colour scheme!

Man i'm on fire this week...2 Super heavy's in the same week...

Ok so after painting some of those colorfull pieces in black and possitioning him on a base for more stability and glueing some of his articulations on his legs, here it is!





Yup he is 22cm tall, and yes thats a baneblade turret under his foot.

At first i wanted to use the Paladin Knigth rules for him,like those that we found on BoLS, but because he is waay bigger then a knigth,i will count him as a Greater Brass Scorpion.

After all its a 3 Structure pts super heavy walker,that assault at 12",as a protection against Psy powers, is Possessed,and he as 6 attacks in CC.

As a Khorne dedicated Heavy "Skull Knigth", it suits him well!

Ok a little bit more work on my Skull Knight.






Gave him a Scorpion tail with the demolisher canon mounted on it, also gave him a oversized ammo drum mag for his Scorpion canon.

Now just need an appropriate red and brass paintjob.

Oh my Skull Throne, you are seriously Khorne-crazy!

The Skull Knight is really shaping up- I was doubtful at first but you seem to be able actually pull it off without looking too Lego. Covering up all the joints/crosspins would really help too.

But most impressive from your whole thread is the Tower of Skulls- what an epic build! That thing deserves a thread of its own. The Bloodletter gunners are great, as is the whole shape of the thing. All the separate towers are really cool, a nice alternative to the usual monolithic build.

Yeah th true challenge was from keeping the Knight away from a too Lego feeling, but gotta admit that it was in fact pretty easy, those new lego toy line, have really nice and wondefull new pieces that give them a really mean look.

Just needed to add the right accesory's to make him a real Chaos machine!

Ok so i made some new group pics, because the ones showed higher in this thread are of one year and a half old, i added many things and modified a few since then.

So some updated pics was a neccesety.
























Still a whole bunch that waits to be assembled and converted!

A little, tiny update.

With my work for this month done, i din't have very much time to dedicate to the Horde.

The only things i managed to do, because i needed my little Conversion-fix...,was 3 Custom Objectifs Markers.


One will be a Monolith+Rage Banner, the center one will be a Statue dedicated to Khorne, its made out of an OOP Khorne WHB Champion and the last one is a huge Khorne icon with a sacrificed and mutilated marines chain-strapped on it!



Oh and one little gizmo to go with all this...


Its a Book of Skulls!!!, a custom made book where will be my army list and also Kharn's skulls tally.

So littel update.

So passing by my local mini dealer and stumble across a few things...

Ok after sometime(even years!) i finally managed to get my dirty claws on a Armorcast Reaver titan!!!

I won the auction on Ebay(for cheap! 390$=270 euro) and i'm anxiously waiting for my new baby to come with the mail!

But it will not be in like 15 days...

But in the meantime i did some Necro digging around my stuff and took out another venerable mini...

Truely the Talos Kit is a real enjoyment for any Chaos Follower!

I really recemmand it if you want to make some evil looking walkers!

I used the Dreadknight's legs,because i had a kit lying around, but you can as easely use the Sentinels legs!

After 10 years a few weeks and a national day off,i've finaly got my Armorcast Reaver!!!

So after playing around a bit with it,i did found some nice bits for him.



Like that Head better.

For those of you who has a good memory its one of my plaster resine cast skulls,i had it lying in a box for when i would have a use for it,i think i did find how to use it!



Also for those who wants to make nice looking and easyly made Scorpion like tails:


Its a Cooling Hose that i've found in a duty shop.

Its perfect for scorpion tails or others!

You make Khorne very very proud.
You have some INCREDIBLE conversions that i never would have imagined.

So not much of updates for today,i'm really dead tired after a month of constant near 16hours work per day with no restdays...

But i wanted to post pics of something interessting i've found!





Yup would make a great Objective "marker"...

So after a little discussion with my fellow Game mates, it appeared that this head din't convince at all...,to wide and square for the titan...

So be it!, i will find something else!

Aah here it looks more promising!





With the ribcage it add a really nice touch, the allready bony looking armes and legs,gives a strong skeleton feeling allready after all.

Leaving the titan aside for now i began painting my second Land Raider,so that he'd be ready for a Double team tourney with a fellow Chaos player.





Also adding a bit of detailing to my favorite Objectif Marker

Finaly completed my Skull Raider,Kharn's personal transport!







Now thats a real bad ass LR!

There's a few flaws and errors,but all in all,i really like the way it did turn out.

Little up on my Khornfilers.





Still have work to do on them,but it begin to look nice.

So with the new Vampires Counts stuff coming out this month i couldn't resist to get one of those neat Undead Dragons kit!

And why just having a regular Zombie Dragon,when you can have a Two Headed Chaos Zombie Dragon!(quite a mouthfull isn't it?)

Gonna use the Lord of Change rules for the fun of it,plus i can have Two flame template attacks with it!

Did have to trim off the Bat ears and snout from the Terrorgheist head(din't like it anyway),reworked the ears shape so that the Horns fits right in.

Might use the Vampire lord for a Chaos Lord on Bike conversion i have in mind...



At first i though to simply put the wings like they are meant to be with the kit at first.

But then i though...,"lets use those extra shoulder sockets..."



So i used the extra shoulders for the wings and put them on the back,this way i can put custom made arms in the first shoulder sockets and give him an Axe or halberd!!!



Used some monstruous Tyranid arms bits i had lying around,used 3 pair of those to make long enough arms for the size of the dragon.

Also added a Jugger collar on one head and a Jugger head plate on the other head.
Now figuring out what to do for the axe...


For those interested my mate and i did 16th on 30 teams,the top15 teams really follow up with a 2-3 points gap,we are only at 10 points from the top team,and from #8 to #13 team they are at the exact same point,so we din't do a bad result.

In our Club inner ranking we are 4th!,(on the 30 teams present 10 teams where from our club).

Also won a shadowsword with the lottery organized by the tourney organisers!
So all in all a good day!

Finaly found what to use as a weapon!







Used two chassis pieces of the metal Chaos Charriot and a DE Raider Quil blade.

Also added some waist chains and the metal BD subligar.

Gotta change the way the wings are positioned though...,being undead he is a bit lazy,but the wings position seems just blah...

Ok i've put the Dragon a bit aside for something that i wanted to do since a moment.

My 3rd Blood Slaughterer!!!



Yup...,a Zerker saw those Shiny marines in it and though"why the heck don't i have one of those!",so he killed the pilot while he was taking a cr*p in the bushes and stole it.





He obviously "asked" to the Techmarine to Pimp the Shiny robot to something that suits him more.





And here you can se the Impaler cannon!

Ah the faces those smirkfull GK's will do when they will see this!,priceless!

Some more work done on the Blood Slaugtherer

Gnarly zombie dragon conversion. What did you do for the two necks?

I pinned the two necks in place(yup i've pinned plastic bits...),i had to cut and adjust where the two necks are togethers.


So did some more work on the BS.







Added cables that are linked to the power armor,needs a few details and its done and good for painting!

Also i've got inspired by the old mini of Francois Xavier Ngo, a Chaos Lord on a perticular looking bike( Akira style).Steppenwolf.








As you can see there is numerous pieces and bits who are different from the original Steppenwolf bike,but keep in mind that a whole bunch of the pieces used are OOP.

So in place of a Vyper hull i used DE Reaver bikes hulls and a Hellion skyboard.

Used the Vampire Lord from the Zombie Dragon kit.

Little game!,can you spot the other pieces i did use for this?

So after all of this, i began to work again on my Contemptor Dread.

Had to rework the legs though.

If it is to make a Contemptor count as,it be better to look really like the thing doesn't it?






I'm more satisfied with this!

I've done some more on it,the Lascan arm gave me a bit of a headache though,had to rework it twice.


Because once again,it as to really look close to the real thing,but i've found the solution!!






Still the fist and the Shield generator to work on.
