I was thinking of holding my DW knights in reserve the going up first turn with ravenwing bikes. I would then use the locator beacon to bring in the DS knights.

Problems:

- i need to roll a 3+ to get the knights in turn two

- when they do make it in they cant charge turn they DS...

Does this mean if everything works out i can only start charging with deathwing knights earliest turn 3???

This seems not good. I know about the land raider option but.. 250 points!!

Am i right or am i missing something?

Thanks!

You summed up the major weakness of Deathwing Knights-their lack of a good delivery system. Using them with Ravenwing is not a bad strategy, but it does potentially suffer the problems you mentioned. You can eliminate the uncertainty of when they arrive by using one of the Deathwing formations (DW Strike Force or DW Redemption Force), but you then have to take an HQ and at least one other Deathwing unit (of course, if you are going RavenDeath as your army this is not a problem at all!).

If you are running a CAD, you might just want to go ahead and take a Land Raider for your DW Knights. If so, make it a Redeemer (less points) and include Ezekiel and perhaps a PA Interrogator-Chaplain (take a LR Crusader instead and you'll have room for the Interrogator to take Termie armor) as a nasty, if slow, deathstar unit.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.
