An absolutely horrible morning. Woken up at 3am to thunderstorms, couldn't fall back asleep, and to top it off, my dogs destroyed about a 300' square foot section of my yard this morning as well.

The kids had a great morning though, and it seems as each year goes by, that becomes more and more the point of it all.

Merry Christmas Dakka. I hope you all had a better morning then I did, and if you have children, I hope they all got to experience the wonder and joy of a great Christmas morning.

Back atcha, gents. I'm in a lull in the action at the moment. It snowed about 6-7 inches here, and my neighbor wanted to play with his new snowblower, so he cleared my dooryard, sidewalk, and path to my door.
The kids still get to shovel off the back deck, though.

I think you are correct. Seems to me the biggest joy is seeing the excitement of the kids. I don't have kids of my own, but I get to see my Cousin's kids. It really is wonderful and I treasure it because I know it won't last. Sooner or later they will outgrow things.

Wow, that is cold. Glad it wasn't that cold where I am at, but it was bad enough. Really winter hasn't been too bad here.

I would be tempted to have a snow fight using the snowblower. And a little work never hurt anyone. Builds character.

Merry Christmas all, although where I'm at Christmas is almost over (just a few minutes left). It was warm (like close to 50 degrees Fahrenheit), and I got to spend the day with my parents and brother and eat ham and potatoes. I probably spent like 2 hours playing Star Wars Battlefront as well, something I can't do at home since I don't have a PS4 (and no, I did not get one for Christmas either ).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2025: 48 | Total models painted in 2026: 12 | Current main painting project: Tomb Kings

Mine's far too warm. It got up to 70F on Christmas eve. And we usually have snow around this time.

Crazy Christmas, did not give myself enough time to set up my mom's new TV, entertainment center, and record equipment. Lots of rushing around due to poor time management on my part. Still; the look of shock on her face was worth it!

Had no time on dakka til today, so Merry Christmas all!!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
