I was wondering about how do you get a higher dakkadakka rank is it to do with number of posts or gallery votes? im not sure and would like to find out so if somebody could explain that would be nice

If they told you threshold then people would just spam posts to go up ranks. They go up when they go up. Only Legoburner knows.

Also, this should be in Nuts and Bolts at the bottom of the forum.

Your rank is increased through the amount of posts only and yes, the thresholds are kept secret because nobody likes a spammer.

This isn't CS:GO or BF4

Ranks only matter (I guess?) when everyone operates on the same rankings. But, there are like 100 different sets of ranks, and DCMs can make-up their own titles, so it's actually quite pointless to worry about, tbh.

You go up a rank every time you get 10 exhalted posts. If you're not going up a rank I'm afraid it means no one likes your posts.

It's impossible to gain ranks on dakka.
I've been trying for years and recently hit 3k points and I'm just a bigger alien or something.
I made peace with that a while back and I suggest you do the same.

The actual numbers of exalts are not displayed anywhere, to avoid the system being used as a popularity contest.

Well, they have to be displaye /anywhere/, else lego could not post the Top 3 Most Exalted posts users each year. Hah!
