So basically, I was frustrated at how many tokens and dice I was having to use to mark damage on my big KoW hordes, so I made magnetised tokens and counters that are much tidier and easier to display large damage numbers clearly.
I made a quick video tutorial: https://youtu.be/woKPOkbfwyU

The main concept is that you make a bunch of tokens with the numbers 0-9 and then magnetise them. Then you put a steel sheet or magnet on a 25mm base. This way you can just pop the numbers on the base in any order you like so you can get any number from 0-99 using only one 'token' on the board.

I like it. I don't see many gamers using this method, since dice are plentiful and already in use, but it's a pretty classy alternative. I think I would like it more for the "cleanliness" of it. It irks me to see dice strewn all across tables.

In your video, you said, "I found this time consuming as you have to re-calculate every time you do more damage." Isn't that what you have to do with these, too? Remove the old number(s) and replace with new? Plus, you fought a little bit with the tin while trying to pull out the magneted numbers. Seems a tad more time consuming than picking up a die and turning it over to the correct number and setting it back down. Then, there's the fact that you now have one more item to carry with you to your gaming location. One that may not fit in your super expensive battle foam case.

The neatness it brings to the table, though, that's worth it to me. Good idea, sir.
