hello i m still trying figure the best choice in actual meta, 40 seekers with 4 heralds or 7-8 plague drones with 2 heralds?
the first have the punch and speed, and great heralds but so fragile and they need for sure invisibility support and if/when you cant rely on invisibility 99% times they are dead, the seconds have resistance and FNP with decent heralds which can also give lot of ID attacks, but they are slow they cant run cant use jetpack because charecter have not and they deal less attacks and potential damage but they are not dependant from invisibility, so i m very undecided.

Plague Drones are the best choice.
You just have to make sure you have two heralds with them.
Don't worry about them only moving 6 inches you have to conga line the drones. Plague drones are really hard to kill they already get a 5 up invulnerable save plus if you take the Loci for the heralds they will get FNP plus they have shrouded.. So really what you want is some awesome spells from the Bio to increase chances. Cursed earth on 8x Drones is a pain to kill.
People that play in the meta might not even shoot at them. What are your planes with the drones?
With Daemons you want to force people into focusing on one thing.. People tend to not like you summoning because in the end its overwhelming.
So they may go for your summoning units, Also it really depends what kind of list you are going to play.
You just have to be smart about how you use them and what powers you are throwing at them..

2x N heralds 2°lev greater rew less rew loci of fecundity
2x3 nurglins
7 drones with venom sting champion with greater rew
6 screamers
Be'lakor
10 cultist

or
use 6 drones
one tz herald with just 1 level
a TZ DP instead Be'lakor and add another 6 screamers unit

what you mean for Conga line sorry but i m italian language

For the conga line put them 2x4 in a line with the heralds in the back. that way when the last of the drones move the 12 inches the heralds will be fine with there 6 inch move. Also they will get slingshot'd into combat when they reach cc.

I do run heavy flying list with summoning,
I also run a list with a chaos knight in it.

i want try this list but probably i will go with a DP in it anyway
still not sure as conga line works

that is what it should look like when you are looking at your models. So you move the first 2 DD 12 inches. The second line of DD technically don't move 12 inches and move less and less you go further back. So the Heralds can stay with the group. This tatic also eliminates model casualties.
