Can someone please identify this terminator's 1) chapter? 2) equipment on the left arm?

The RT era (and possibly early 2nd) terminators came with little tilting shields. No game effect I’m aware of. While not on sprue, a lot of old metal bits had injection stubs on them that should have been cut off and filed down. Looks like this one was just painted.

Mini is an old terminator sergeant. Stormbolter/powersword. Can’t speak for the chapter. Are there any marking on the other shoulder? The one on the sword arm are the sarge’s crux terminus.

Thanks Nevelon. I went to the effort of taking a better pic with the macro lens. Can someone also please identify the weapon on the 3rd guy? And also the little detailed bit on the botton of the 'shield'. (The pic is clearer if you click on it) Thanks very much.

3rd guy has a heavy flamer

The first guy is a powersword equipped model. The shield was supplied but had no game effect, ah the good old days. Anyway the bit hanging is a purity seal. What chapter? The 'I only have a citadel paint set marines' just something made up buy a kid with a little paint skill and a love for red and black, so I would guess painted for 2nd ed 40k, the primary colour edition and yes the third guy has a heavy flamer.

The "detail bit" on the shield is a tab that should have been removed before painting. Like a sprue, as Nevelon said.

In the time it took me to dredge the basement, there have been a few more answers. But I already did the legwork, so here we go.


These are the shields still “on sprue” They should have been trimmed up a bit before put in use. Lots of metal bits came that way back in the day.

Thanks everyone. I didn't know I bought a relic... Looks like I've got antique-inators. Never the less I'll give stripping them a go and see what happens.
