I can't find any rules that state that the sons of Horus and their dread claw drop pods are able to arrive on turn one. And yet I have seen multiple battle reports where this has happened and they have dropped on turn one.

Am I missing something? Is there a rule somewhere that allows this? Please help!

The dreadclaw has the drop pod assault rule.
Unfortunately, it also lacks the guidance system to help prevent mishaps.

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

I'm looking at the red book right now, and the Anvillus Pattern Dreadclaw Drop Pod most definately has drop pod assault.

They dreadclaw got a slight update when they released the Red Crusade Army books, That's why it's the most updated version at the moment.

Yeah, it also changes the tac support team to the sgt having the same weapon as the rest of the squad if you plan on using them as well.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

The Anvillus is also a flyer with hover. So it is a very effective transport
