Good afternoon everyone!

Usually lurking but always enjoying the hobby.

Don't play as much these days, love collecting and painting miniatures though.

Recently bought 40K:Forbidden Stars and having a blast on that, seems to fit my available time better than the all weekend affairs that tabletop gaming used to be :-)

Welcome welcome! I've heard a lot of good things about forbidden stars; is it a good game for somewhat inexperienced gamers to pick up?

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Thanks guys

Re. Forbidden Stars - I wouldn't make this the first domination style game for inexperienced Players - something like Catan would be much better. But if they're into gaming and don't mind a challenge (first game is a lot of referring to the rules, after that it's pretty much plain sailing) then I would whoeheartedly recommend it. The models are quite purty as well ;-)

Forbidden stars is legit, played it at a local game store on a board game day a few weeks back. It was a little bumpy for new players but fun all the same.

Welcome to the forums! Hope you enjoy your stay

"The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer!" - Khârn "The Bloody", First Captain of the World Eaters

Well, Catan's pretty old news with the group, so this could work. Thanks

Hi. Welcome to Dakka

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
