Hey guys I'm still waiting on my hh book for IF rules but am getting a jump start on the models. I've got the calth box and have put the bolt type guns in the right hands of 4/5 of the guys and the heavy weapon on the fifth. I was just wondering what the book will let me do for left arms. I'll be buying shields for them soon so I don't want to put lightning claws on all of them if it won't allow it. Thank you

Imperial Fists terminators are one of the few that can take storm shields. They aren't free obviously but they do replace one of the weapons. So keep that in mind if you're putting ranged weapons on them you're not going to have any special melee attacks other than just punching.

So it can replace the ranged or the melee weapon? I've always seen the shield on the left side so assumed it was the melee one.

Correct you're looking at things the way you do a 40k terminator.

To put it in basic all terminators start out as tactical terminators wood in 40k power Fists ranged weapon combo. You then pick your upgrades from there from the last single lightning clawranged weapon so on. The various special ranged weapon upgrades. And so on.

I guess I'll just make a mixed squad for now and Waite on the rules. I'm going to make these guys my objective holders/takers so they will need a balance in abilities. They aren't a Death Star for now. It's only five of them though.

IF termies have some flexibility with the shield and can also take assault cannons. I load up on some chainfists.

I'm just starting to magnetise the arms on my cataphractii from the Calth box, its time consuming but I'd recommend it.

IIRC you can't have a shield with a heavy weapon as well

So I suppose what we're saying is you will need to cut some of those combi-bolter arms back off if you want to use a shield and melee weapon (right?)
