Hey peeps,

Putting together a space wolf force and wish to include some dreads to support my tactical squads.

Each dread will have a CCW and mid to long range weapons to support the advance (Force is going to be CQC focused).

I would like 2 to have some Volkite weapons but FW don't do them for the current chassis (could convert the frost ray thing) and thinking of a plasma cannon for the 3rd to knock out heavy infantry.

Any thoughts?

I assume you're talking about standard brick with feet dreadnoughts and not Contemptors, correct?

Because as of right now the contemptor does have a volkite arm weapon.

With that said, I'd suggest a plasma cannon or even a conversion beamer for long range smashing.

Yep good old brick on legs

Picked up the Spacewolf one for cheap on ebay thanks to a voucher I had, and used that to kit out an existing Spacemarine one, sadly it means the weapon loadouts are little short on the ground in the kits as the standard dread can't take an assault cannon in 30k.

I won't lie, I kinda cheat with my dreadnought assault cannons and run them as different marks of autocannon

beyond that, I have 2 favorite box dread loadouts (for my DG)

1st: Flamestorm, fist, heavy flamer, havoc - Self explanitory, over kill when you take a promethium pipeline
2nd: Autocannon, fist, graviton, havoc - My go to: good against vehicles, threatening towards heavier infantry (namely mechanicum with the autocannon)

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
